The spirit is produced by Tequila Arette de Jalisco, a brand founded in the 1900s by the Orendain family and run, since 1976, by brothers Eduardo and Jaime Orendain. Located in the heart of the town of Tequila, the distillery uses "the extraordinary water from the wellsprings of the Tequila volcano."
