The Smell of Modernism

10-11am | 2-3pm

Learn the art and history of scent-making in the era of midcentury modernism, and alchemize and design your own scent to bring home with Molly Moon Crafts.

The Smell of Modernism is a 60-minute, interactive workshop where perfumed memories are shared and new ones are created. Two sessions are available — 10am and 2pm — and each 60-minute workshop includes a presentation on scents from the past, an introduction to scent production, and the opportunity to create and share the scent you’ve made.

Tickets are very limited: RSVP with the link below before all slots are filled.

Please arrive at The Saguaro Palm Springs 10 to 15 minutes prior to the session's start time. Complimentary parking is available on the property.

Molly Moon Crafts is a woman-owned and operated business based in Palm Desert that launched in 2021 with the mission of creating high-quality, clean aromatherapy products. Sold online and in local outlets like the Saguaro, Chef Tanya’s Kitchen, Rancho Relaxo, and Mojave Flea.

This event is organized in parternship with Sarah Scheideman of Scene Creative, who also developed and hosted the Saguaro’s memorable Joy of Jello event for Modernism Week 2020.
